A quick and easy summer sangria combining tart lemonade, juicy strawberries, fresh mint, and dry white wine for a refreshing and lively drink perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 750 ml dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
  • 4 cups (960 ml) lemonade
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, loosely packed, plus extra for garnish
  • 1 large lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (optional, depending on lemonade sweetness)
  • Ice cubes for serving

Instructions

  1. Rinse strawberries and mint leaves under cold water. Hull and slice strawberries into 1/4-inch thick pieces. Thinly slice the lemon into rounds. Tear mint leaves slightly to release oils without crushing.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine white wine and lemonade. Stir gently to mix. Add simple syrup to taste if lemonade is tart.
  3. Add sliced strawberries, lemon rounds, and mint leaves to the pitcher. Stir gently to distribute ingredients evenly.
  4. Refrigerate the sangria for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld. Overnight chilling is recommended for best flavor.
  5. Just before serving, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour sangria over. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint or a strawberry slice.

Notes

Use ripe fresh strawberries for best flavor; avoid over-muddling mint to prevent bitterness. Chill sangria at least 1 hour or overnight for best taste. Add ice only when serving to avoid dilution. Adjust sweetness with simple syrup based on lemonade tartness. For fizz, add club soda or sparkling water before serving. Non-alcoholic version can be made by replacing wine with extra lemonade or sparkling grape juice.
