These Quick Crispy Air Fryer Pork Chops are a weeknight miracle—ready in under 15 minutes with no breading, just a simple spice rub that creates a shatteringly golden crust and juicy, tender meat inside.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops, about 1-inch thick
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme or oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the pork chops completely dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, cayenne (if using), and dried thyme.
  4. Drizzle the olive oil over the pork chops and rub it into both sides of each chop, making sure every surface is lightly coated.
  5. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over both sides of each pork chop, pressing it in with your fingers.
  6. Place the seasoned pork chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer, without overcrowding.
  7. Cook at 400°F for 6 minutes.
  8. Flip the pork chops using tongs.
  9. Cook for another 4-6 minutes, depending on thickness, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  10. Remove the pork chops from the air fryer and let them rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes.
  11. Serve immediately.

Notes

Pat the pork chops completely dry before seasoning to ensure crispiness. Let the chops come to room temperature before cooking for even cooking. Use an instant-read thermometer to check doneness—145°F is the target. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if needed. For thicker chops, reduce temperature to 375°F and increase cooking time.
