A quick and easy fall cocktail that balances tart apple cider with sweet caramel and a touch of salt, topped with bubbly prosecco. Ready in just 5 minutes, it’s perfect for brunch or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ounces chilled prosecco or champagne per glass
  • 2 ounces fresh apple cider per glass
  • 1 tablespoon caramel sauce per glass
  • Coarse sea salt (for rim)
  • Thin apple slices (optional garnish)
  • Cinnamon sticks (optional garnish)
  • Extra caramel drizzle (optional garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce (for rim)
  • 2 tablespoons coarse sea salt (for rim)

Instructions

  1. Prep the glasses: Pour about 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce onto a small plate and spread into an even layer. On another small plate, spread 2 tablespoons of coarse sea salt. Dip the rim of a champagne flute into the caramel, twisting gently to coat, then dip into the salt, pressing lightly. Set aside and repeat with remaining glasses.
  2. Add the caramel base: Drizzle 1 tablespoon of caramel sauce into the bottom of each prepared glass.
  3. Pour the apple cider: Measure 2 ounces of fresh apple cider and pour it slowly into the glass over the caramel.
  4. Top with prosecco: Slowly pour 4 ounces of chilled prosecco into the glass at an angle down the side to preserve bubbles.
  5. Garnish and serve: Add a thin apple slice on the rim and a cinnamon stick. Optionally drizzle extra caramel on top and sprinkle a few grains of sea salt.
  6. Serve immediately. Give a gentle stir before each sip to redistribute flavors.

Notes

Chill all ingredients and glasses for best results. Warm caramel slightly (5-10 seconds in microwave) to help it disperse. Rim glasses no more than 10 minutes before serving. For a party, set up a mimosa bar with pre-measured components.
