This air fryer salmon delivers shatteringly crispy skin and tender, flaky flesh in under 20 minutes. The bright, creamy lemon dill sauce ties everything together for a quick and easy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each, skin-on)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 medium lemon (zest and juice)
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels, especially the skin side.
  3. In a small bowl, mix garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Drizzle olive oil over the salmon and rub it in evenly. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over both sides, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Place the salmon skin-side down in the air fryer basket, leaving at least an inch of space between fillets.
  5. Cook for 5 minutes without opening the basket.
  6. Carefully flip the salmon using tongs.
  7. Cook for another 4-6 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  8. While the salmon cooks, make the lemon dill sauce: In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, sour cream, Dijon mustard, honey, lemon zest, lemon juice, and fresh dill. Whisk until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  9. Let the salmon rest for 2 minutes before serving.
  10. Serve immediately, drizzled with lemon dill sauce and garnished with extra dill and lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

Pat the salmon very dry for crispy skin. Flip halfway through for even crust. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. Cooking time may vary based on air fryer model and fillet thickness. Let salmon rest before serving.
