A quick and easy dessert charcuterie board featuring fresh berries, silky dark chocolate dips, and crunchy biscuits, perfect for entertaining or a sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 6 oz (170 g) dark chocolate (70% cocoa recommended)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy cream or full-fat coconut milk
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Optional: 1/2 tsp vanilla extract or a hint of chili powder
  • Assorted biscuits or cookies (e.g., buttery shortbread or graham crackers)
  • 1/2 cup (60 g) almonds or pecans, lightly toasted
  • Mini pretzels or thin breadsticks
  • Marshmallows or mini meringues
  • Dried fruits like apricots or cherries

Instructions

  1. Chop 6 oz dark chocolate into small pieces.
  2. Heat 1/2 cup heavy cream or coconut milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer; do not boil.
  3. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and let sit for 2 minutes.
  4. Stir gently until the mixture is glossy and smooth.
  5. Add a pinch of sea salt and, if desired, a splash of vanilla extract (about 1/2 tsp). Keep warm or reheat gently if needed.
  6. Rinse 1 cup each of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries under cold water. Pat dry carefully with paper towels.
  7. Hull and halve the strawberries to make them easier to dip.
  8. Lightly toast 1/2 cup almonds or pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until fragrant. Let cool.
  9. Arrange the toasted nuts, biscuits, and pretzels on the serving board.
  10. Place the chocolate dips in small bowls spaced evenly on the board.
  11. Surround the dips with fresh berries, nuts, biscuits, marshmallows, and dried fruits, balancing colors and textures.
  12. Fill in gaps with mini meringues or extra berries for a full look.
  13. Sprinkle a few flakes of sea salt over the chocolate dips for subtle contrast.
  14. Add a small spoon or spreader in each bowl for easy serving.

Notes

Use good-quality dark chocolate for smooth melting and rich flavor. Heat cream just to simmering to avoid scorching chocolate. Prepare chocolate dips last to keep warm and smooth. If dips thicken, stir in a splash of warm cream. Fresh berries should be added last to avoid sogginess. Store leftovers separately and reheat chocolate dips gently.
