A festive and fun Halloween charcuterie board that combines sweet candy corn with sharp cheddar, creamy cheeses, and crunchy snacks. Ready in 20 minutes, it’s perfect for parties and requires no cooking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, cubed or sliced
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 oz Gouda or smoked cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup red seedless grapes
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks or twists
  • 20 crackers (e.g., Ritz or whole wheat)
  • ½ cup orange and black M&Ms
  • ½ cup dried apricots or figs
  • ¼ cup pumpkin seeds (pepitas)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prep your cheeses (5 minutes): Cut sharp cheddar into ½-inch cubes or thin triangles. Slice Gouda into similar-sized pieces. Let cream cheese soften at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving.
  2. Wash and prep the fruit (3 minutes): Rinse grapes and pat completely dry. Leave dried apricots whole or halve them.
  3. Arrange the cheese first (2 minutes): Place cheese in clusters around the board. Put cream cheese in a small bowl or dollop directly onto the board.
  4. Add the crackers and pretzels (2 minutes): Fan them out in small groups around the cheese, overlapping slightly.
  5. Fill in with fruit (2 minutes): Scatter grapes in clusters and tuck dried apricots between cheese and crackers.
  6. Add the candy elements (2 minutes): Pour candy corn into one small bowl and M&Ms into another. Place bowls on the board. Sprinkle a few loose candy corn pieces around.
  7. Finish with seeds and garnish (1 minute): Sprinkle pumpkin seeds in empty spaces. Tuck rosemary sprigs around edges. Adjust any bare spots.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the board; leave about 20% visible. Keep candy corn separate from moist ingredients to avoid stickiness. Let cheese sit out for 15-20 minutes before serving for best flavor. Balance salty and sweet elements. Prep everything the night before and assemble just before serving.
