A simple, festive Halloween treat combining creamy white chocolate with classic candy corn for a sweet, crunchy bark that’s quick to make and perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces white chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1 cup candy corn (about 150 grams)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13 inch baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Place white chocolate chips and optional butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on medium power for 30 seconds, stir, then continue in 15-second bursts stirring between each until smooth and glossy. Alternatively, melt over a double boiler on low heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt into the melted chocolate.
  4. Reserve 1/3 cup of candy corn for topping. Gently fold the remaining 2/3 cup candy corn into the melted white chocolate, being careful not to break the candy corn pieces.
  5. Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  6. Sprinkle the reserved candy corn evenly over the top, pressing lightly into the surface.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes until firm.
  8. Remove from fridge and cut into irregular pieces or break by hand.

Notes

Melt white chocolate gently to avoid seizing. Let chocolate cool slightly before folding in candy corn to keep pieces intact. Chill bark for at least 30 minutes but no longer than a few hours before cutting. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks or freeze for up to a month.
