A beautifully arranged heart-shaped charcuterie board perfect for Valentine’s Day, featuring a delicious mix of cheeses, cured meats, fresh fruits, nuts, and sweet treats. Easy to assemble and customizable for various dietary needs.

Ingredients

  • Brie cheese, cut into wedges
  • Sharp cheddar, sliced thin
  • Goat cheese log, rolled in herbs
  • Prosciutto slices
  • Soppressata or salami, thinly sliced
  • Strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • Red grapes, halved
  • Heart-shaped watermelon slices (made with a small cookie cutter)
  • Cucumber ribbons
  • Marcona almonds or roasted pecans
  • Dark chocolate chunks or Valentine-themed chocolates
  • Honey or fig jam in a small bowl
  • Assorted crackers (gluten-free options available, like almond flour crackers)

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients by slicing cheeses into wedges or thin pieces (about 3.5 oz per cheese type for 4 servings). Slice cured meats thinly, roughly 1.75-2.5 oz each. Wash and dry fruits completely.
  2. Use a small heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut watermelon slices and strawberries. Freeze fruits slightly if too soft for easier cutting.
  3. Place the heart-shaped board on your prep surface. Arrange cheese wedges spaced evenly in the center and corners.
  4. Fold or roll slices of prosciutto and salami and tuck them around the cheese wedges, filling small gaps without overcrowding.
  5. Scatter grapes, heart-shaped watermelon, and strawberry slices around the meats and cheeses. Add small clusters of nuts in open spaces.
  6. Arrange crackers along the edges, fanning them out for easy grabbing. Place small bowls of honey or fig jam on the board. Garnish with cucumber ribbons.
  7. Sprinkle dark chocolate chunks near the fruit sections for a sweet surprise. Adjust the board for color and texture balance.

Notes

Bring cheeses to room temperature 30 minutes before assembling for best flavor and texture. Use a sharp knife for clean slices. Arrange ingredients with color and texture balance in mind. Store leftovers in airtight containers; cheeses and meats keep 2-3 days, fruits best within 24 hours. Assemble 1-2 hours before serving for best freshness.
