A quick and easy sheet pan recipe for crispy Cajun shrimp with bold spices and tender texture, perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade blend of paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, salt, and black pepper)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Pat 1 pound of peeled and deveined large shrimp dry with paper towels.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Stir to blend evenly.
  4. Drizzle 2 tablespoons olive oil over the shrimp. Add the spice mix and toss with tongs or a spoon until each shrimp is fully coated.
  5. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Spread the shrimp out in a single layer with space between each piece.
  6. Bake for 8–10 minutes until shrimp turn pink and opaque with crispy edges. Watch closely after 8 minutes to avoid overcooking.
  7. Optional: Broil for 1–2 minutes at the end for extra crispiness, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  8. Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges squeezed over the shrimp.

Notes

Do not overcrowd the pan to avoid soggy shrimp. Pat shrimp dry thoroughly before seasoning to ensure crispiness. Optional broil at the end adds extra crunch but watch carefully to prevent burning. Leftovers store well in the refrigerator for up to 2 days; reheat in a skillet or under the broiler to maintain crisp texture. Avoid microwaving to prevent rubbery shrimp.
