  • 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon salt (sea salt flakes recommended)
  • Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
  • Optional toppings: red pepper flakes, microgreens or fresh herbs (cilantro or parsley), halved cherry tomatoes, feta cheese crumbles

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread until golden and crispy—about 3-5 minutes in a toaster or 6-8 minutes under the broiler, flipping halfway. Optionally brush bread with olive oil before toasting for extra crisp and flavor.
  2. While bread is toasting, cut avocado in half, remove pit, scoop flesh into a bowl, and mash with a fork or potato masher until smooth but slightly chunky.
  3. Stir in lemon juice, salt, and black pepper into the mashed avocado.
  4. Spread the mashed avocado evenly over each slice of toasted bread.
  5. Sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning on each avocado-covered toast slice.
  6. Add optional garnishes such as red pepper flakes, microgreens, cherry tomatoes, or feta cheese if desired.
  7. Serve immediately to enjoy the crispiness and freshness.

Use thick, crusty bread like sourdough or country loaf for best results. Brush bread with olive oil before toasting for extra crispiness. Prepare avocado just before serving to prevent browning.
