A quick and easy recipe for crispy green beans tossed with garlic and olive oil, cooked to perfection in the air fryer. Perfect as a healthy snack or side dish with a flavorful garlicky crunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed and washed
  • 3 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1½ tablespoons olive oil
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Trim and wash the green beans. Snap or cut off the stem ends. Pat dry thoroughly with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
  2. Peel and mince 3 large garlic cloves finely.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Toss well to coat evenly.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
  5. Place the green beans in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 8 minutes, then shake or toss with tongs.
  6. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until crisp-tender and slightly golden at the edges.
  7. Transfer to a serving plate and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

If garlic starts to brown too quickly, add it halfway through cooking to avoid bitterness. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure crispiness. Leftovers can be reheated in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-5 minutes to restore crispness.
